I think almost by definition dining tables are rather boring, utilitarian pieces of furniture, and because of that I very rarely buy them. However, this one is lovely.
It is a beautiful colour, original patination, and not that dark brown that can drain all the joy out of a room. It has the original feature of having solid cross banding ( I have seen this several times before) It comprises 2 D ends, a central drop leaf section, and one additional original leaf. The legs on the ends have the nice feature of a lappeted ear, this is not repeated on the central section, but it all belongs. The position of the legs are not a problem for seating and the length is variable, and it looks great as an octagonal centre table
