A fine quality early 18th Century bureau bookcase veneered throughout with burr walnut, having engraved brass mounts, the shaped cornice showing Chinese influence above a pair of shaped mirrored doors enclosing shelves to the upper section. The fall below opening to reveal a finely fitted interior concealing secret drawers. Below the fall there is a well shaped waist moulding. The base contains two short and three long drawers, the whole standing on bracket feet.
