I have been a dealer in English antique furniture and related items since 1969. For 40 years I had a shop in Salisbury, but now deal by appointment from large showrooms a few miles from the city. I have seen many changes in the world of antiques, changes in fashion, changes in the structure of the trade, and changes in prices. For years I sold almost exclusively to the trade, but with changing times I now find that decorators and private individuals make up a large percentage of my customers. Despite a shifting world, my criteria for buying stock that I offer for sale have never changed. I look for good design, originality, good colour and patination. I like the things I buy to be good examples of their type, a cut above the rest. I think that we can all get tired of the ordinary. 

I guarantee, based on my knowledge and experience built up over the years, that everything I sell is as I described it. I love the things that I deal in, and authenticity is all important to me. It is all part of the romance. I work hard and am always buying new stock, and as a result, my website regularly gets updated.

My store sits in a very beautiful part of the country and my stock can be viewed at any time by appointment. Travellers by train can be met at Salisbury station, a mere 10 minute drive away.
